steel recycling By 2008, the UK will need to recycle some 360,000 tonnes of steel packaging. In effect, this means that a further 60,000 tonnes of cans will need to be recovered from the household waste stream compared to 2003.

Therefore, the immediate future will mean:

  • complementing these with more can bank schemes
