'Eco-schools' is a programme run by ENCAMS to promote environmental awareness in schools. Schools can apply for an Eco-school award, which is recognised throughout Europe.

Global Action Plan
Action at School' is an environmental programme run by the UK charity Global Action Plan. Recognised by the United Nations, it is linked to key stages three and four in the national curriculum. The site gives examples of schools which have successfully reduced their rubbish. There are also sections on action at home and at work.

Collect4School
Collect4School is a scheme that encourages schools to collect used printer cartridges, which they can send to the Collect4School Recycling Centre. These are sorted and either remanufactured or recycled for their plastic. Schools are paid for the cartridges they send in that can be remanufactured.
