The following describes how Valpak gathers and disseminates information gathered via the Valpak website and the services available from it. (Please note that this site contains links to other sites and that Valpak is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites or their operators.)
By using the Valpak website you acknowledge that you have read the terms of this Privacy Policy and that you consent to the use of your business and/or personal information for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. If you do not wish to provide the information on the basis set out in this Privacy Policy you should not complete the business and/or personal details in the spaces provided. However, in that case, we regret that you will not be able to make any further use of some of the services offered by the Valpak website.

This policy ("Online Privacy Policy") describes the ways in which we collect information from you when you use the website and related services described in it, and what we may use it for.

What data do we collect from you?
We collect data from you ("User Data") in various ways:
- when you register to use the Valpak services;
- by our use of "Cookies" (see section C below);
- during the course of your use of Valpak services, and those of third parties available through the service, and
- when we request further information from you from time to time following on from registration.
Much of this data comprises business information. Some of it will inevitably comprise personal data about individuals, to which UK data protection laws apply. This Online Privacy Policy describes how Valpak fulfils its obligations under those data protection laws.
You may obtain a copy of your User Data held by Valpak by contacting us and requesting a copy but we do require at least 14 days notice to enable us to comply with the request.
Once you have registered as a member with us you will no longer be anonymous to us: you will have your own personal user name and password and will be able to navigate our site as you wish. If you contact us we may also keep a record of that correspondence and we may, from time to time, ask you to complete a customer satisfaction survey to assist us in improving our service to you.

Use of "cookies"
A cookie is a small chunk of information sent by the Valpak Web server to the web browser software being used by its Users, which enables the Web server to collect information back from the Web browser. If you want to know more about cookies please go to www.cookiecentral.com (an independent website).
Valpak uses cookies to identify users when they visit the Valpak website. Cookies also enable Valpak to build up a personalised profile of its users, and to develop personalised versions of our websites.
Information generated by the use of cookies is only disclosed to third parties in aggregate form so that no individual can be identified (see also D (iii) below).

Our use of user data
Valpak will use User Data we collect from you only in accordance with the following guidelines:

To provide the Valpak service to you
We will use User Data to provide and improve our e-business or text services to you, to enable our help desk to deal with any queries you have about our service, to notify you of any changes to our service or our Member Agreement, and to process payments.
We will need to provide data about you to delivery companies and others who are involved in providing our service to you.
- To send you information about our other products & services
From time to time, Valpak, or third parties acting on Valpak's behalf, may wish to send you information about other products and services which we offer and we believe you may be interested in and we may use User Data for this purpose. If you decide now, or at any later time, that you do not wish to receive this information, please e-mail us on info@valpak.co.uk.
- To include user data in anonymous statistics
Valpak may provide anonymous statistics about our Users, sales patterns and related usage information, to reputable third parties, but these statistics will not enable any third party to identify individuals or individual businesses.
- To provide data to third party providers
Valpak may pass User Data to third party providers of products and services to enable them to provide you with their services or products. Valpak does not permit such third parties to use your User Data to market its own products or services independently of the Valpak services, but you may have given them consent as part of your direct relationship with the third party in question.
- Sharing with the Valpak group of companies
Valpak may make User Data available to other members of the Valpak group of companies, either for the fulfilment of Valpak services, or to enable them to provide you with information about products or services which they believe would be of interest to you.
- If Valpak ceases to trade or goes insolvent
If Valpak ceases to trade, or becomes insolvent, enters into receivership or any similar or equivalent event occurs, those acting on behalf of Valpak may sell the business or parts of it to a third party, in fulfilment of legal or business requirements. In these circumstances.
- For the provisions of Valpak's nearest recycling centre text service
Valpak will reply to a text sent in from you with a short text reply to the same number. The number will not be stored or used by Valpak for any other purpose.

Transfer of user data outside the European Economic Area
The Internet is a global environment. Valpak may sometimes need to transfer User Data to locations outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). By accepting this Online Privacy Policy you hereby consent to such transfers, provided that they are limited to the purposes set out in section D above.

While it is unlikely, Valpak may be required to disclose your User Data by a court order or to comply with other legal requirements. We will use reasonable endeavours to notify you before we do so, unless we are legally restricted from doing so.
